Gordana Trampić, President of the Municipal Assembly of Vlasenica and Željko Damljanović, Head of the Department for Physical Planning and Housing and Communal Affairs, participated in the final conference on the results and good practices of the development of the Birač region that was held yesterday in Sarajevo, organized by the United Nations Development Program / UNDP /.
The conference presented the achieved results and potential for the further development of the municipality of Vlasenica, as well as other municipalities of the Birac region, which are part of a project worth about $ 5.2 million, commenced in 2013.
The Birač project, implemented by UNDP, financed by the Government of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, is aimed at fostering rural development with a focus on regional cooperation.
Through this project, more than 6,000 inhabitants of the Voting Regiment benefited directly through various economic development activities, more than 20,000 people benefited from improved infrastructure, and the realization of the project also contributed to the improvement of public services.
The participants were addressed by Sezin Sinanoglu, UN Resident Coordinator in BiH, Reinout Vos, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to BiH, Mirko Sarovic, Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH.
